Enrolment Management Plan

All students living within the school’s Enrolment Management Plan (EMP) zone are welcome to apply for enrolment. Students who live outside the Enrolment Management Plan may submit an application to the Principal for consideration as outlined in our Enrolment Management Plan.  Details are available from the Department of Education and Training website: http://education.qld.gov.au/schools/catchment/plan-b/bribie-island-shs.html.

All prospective students may apply for enrolment in the school’s Academy Excellence Programs – Academic – Sport – Music.

If you would like to check that your residential address falls within the Catchment Zone of Bribie Island State High School, you can enter your address details at the following website: http://www.qgso.qld.gov.au/maps/edmap.

 

The Enrolment Package

Parents can access enrolment information by either visiting the school in person, phoning the school to request information be posted home or downloading the information from this website.

2. Enrolment Process

  • Students intending to enrol at Bribie Island SHS will be required to attend an interview with a parent / guardian. All interviews are by appointment only.
  • The completed enrolment information is required to be returned to the school 24 hours prior to the interview to allow processing of information. Failure to return the required information will cause delays in processing and may result in the enrolment interview having to be postponed.
  • The enrolment interview is an opportunity for the school’s philosophy, standards and procedures to be discussed. Subject selection and the associated costs are also discussed.
  • On the day of enrolment the full amount of user pays fees and at least $100 of student resource scheme fees are required. Centrepay payment plans are also available.
  • Student identification will be required at time of lodgment of enrolment forms.
